Kinbasket Lake

Kinbasket Lake

This hidden gem is a reservoir on the Columbia River and spans 260 km. The water levels can drastically vary depending on the month but it has great fishing for bull trout, ling cod, rainbow, kokanee, and whitefish and several boat launch spots which makes it popular with locals. It is accessed by forestry roads off the Trans-Canada Highway 1, west of Golden. It is highly recommended to take a radio and call your kilometers on logging roads around Golden as many of them are active logging roads.
